| EXPERIENCE YOUR S.H.A.P.E FOR LIFE! At New Song, we believe that every member has a place of service in ministry. The key is to discover what you are "shaped" for. God made you for something special. What God made you to BE determines what he intends you to DO. You will understand the purpose you were created for when you understand the kind of person you are. This is the secret of knowing God's will for your life. That's what Class 301 is all about - God's plan for your ministry. This class will take you through the entire SHAPE process. S: Spiritual Gifts. Every believer in Jesus has been given spiritual gifts - every single one. We go through what the Bible says about these spiritual gifts and how to discover which ones you have. H: Heart. There are certain things that each one of us really have a heart for. There are some things that we don't have a heart for at all. Focusing on what we have a heart for will help us to discover our SHAPE for ministry. This section is dedicated to helping you discover what you have a heart for. A: Abilities. Every person has certain abilities. Some people have more. Some people have less. But everyone has been given some abilities. These abilities that we are given will help us to discover what God wants us to do! P: Passions. There are certain things in life that we are really passionate about. There are also things in life that we could care less about. When you combine your passions with all of the other aspects of your SHAPE you will begin to discover what God wants you to do. E: Experiences. All of the experiences that we have gone through in life have a purpose. God never wastes a hurt. Even those painful experiences can be used by God to help someone else. Our experiences play a very important role in discovering what God wants us to do. You'll have the opportunity at the end of the class to sign a ministry covenant that will be a commitment between you and God to discover your SHAPE. We celebrate the end of our classes with baptism and a fellowship meal. All four of our classes are offered simultaneously. The next place to go in the circle of life after 201 is Class 301.
